All our training and services are bespoke and tailored to your needs. We carry out an initial consultation in order to identify your requirements and any workplace specific needs or hazards.
Health and Safety training for managers and employees.
Training is about helping staff to learn and understand how to do certain things effectively. This happens by explaining to people about the consequences of the way they do things, or simply giving them sufficient information.
Health and Safety training is essential, because a large number of people are injured, become unwell and sometimes killed, because of poor working environments and lack of knowledge. Preventing accidents and ill health caused by work is a key priority for everyone at work, because your work force is essential for your business to flourish. Providing Health and Safety training helps individuals and organisations to:

Workplace Risk Assessments and Management.
Risk Assessment is about careful examination of what in your work environment is likely to cause harm to people (hazards), so that you can weigh up whether you have taken enough precautions or should do more to prevent harm. We are able to carry out Risk Assessments to reduce harm caused by physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial hazards to employees. We also provide training so that your personnel can become competent Risk Assessors.
First Aid training and support.
The aim of first aid is to act immediately, so that the effects of injury or illness suffered at work is reduced, whether caused by the work itself or not. We provide the advice and support required to set up adequate first-aid facilities and give training to personnel to carry out first aid. The advice and support that we give, and number of people we train depends on;
- The kind of the work and workplace hazards and risks that exists.
- The size of the organisation.
- The organisation’s Health and Safety record.
- The proximity of the workplace to emergency medical services.
Health Surveillance of workers.
Health surveillance is a testing programme which is designed to help identify any work-related ill health. Assessments or tests are generally carried out annually for certain manual workers, especially those that work with power tools, in noisy environments or with hazardous chemicals. Tests are also carried out for drivers and office workers.
We provide the following:
- General Health check – height, weight, blood pressure, electrocardiogram, cholesterol, blood sugar and urine tests.
- Audiometry (hearing test).
- Keystone screening (eye test – colour, peripheral, glare and acuity).
- Spirometry (lung function test)
- Skin assessments.
Display Screen Equipment (DSE) User – assessment and training
Office workers may experience fatigue, eye strain, neck, shoulder, arm and backache, due to overuse or improper use of DSE (computers). These problems can also be caused by poorly designed workstations or work environments.
We carry out work station assessments to ensure that:
- Screens are well adjusted.
- Furniture are well positioned and fit for purpose.
- Correct sitting positions are maintained.
- Environment problems such as lightning are addressed.
- We can also provide training for staff to become DSE assessors.
Workplace Health Promotion and Wellbeing services.
We can deliver a range of services for your organisation that will help improve the knowledge and understanding of your workforce on healthy living, so that they can take control of their own health. We also provide coaching and advice on how to deal with life difficulties. Our services include:
- Providing lifestyle information, – exercise, diet, smoking, drugs and alcohol.
- Providing sexual health advice.
- Providing information and advice on different health problems.
- Private and confidential one to one coaching and advice in difficult times.
Health & Safety policy development
Organisations need to have a clear policy or policies, to protect the Health and Safety of their employees, and which every employee at all levels should understand and comply with. We are able to help you develop the right policies for your organisation, no matter the size or type of business. This includes strategies, protocols, plans or systems, to deal with everyday Health and Safety matters, and adverse events or emergencies.
Fire Safety - prevention and training
The risk of fire to premises and in the workplace is always a problem. This is because of human behaviour, and also electrical, physical and chemical hazards that exist in the workplace. We provide fire prevention and safety training, which is designed to give employees knowledge and understanding of the risks associated with workplace fires. Our training explores the causes of fire and what appropriate fire safety precautions and fire evacuation procedures can be put in place in your business or organisation. We also provide training in the use of fire equipment such as extinguishers and blankets.
